Ray Rickman is a well-known figure in Rhode Island, with a diverse background that spans politics, nonprofit work, and diversity consulting. As the co-founder and Executive Director of Stages of Freedom, he has been instrumental in teaching swimming to children of color and delivering African American cultural programs to thousands of Rhode Islanders. Ray's political career includes serving as a State Representative in Providence and as the Rhode Island Deputy Secretary of State, where he made history as the highest-ranking African American official in the state.
