We asked for federal legislation to help mitigate multiple versions of #CCPA across the states . . . careful what you wish for. Here comes the #DPA and the Online Privacy Act which would place a new requirement for companies to not only produce the data requested by consumers but also be able to provide "a human review of any decisions made through the automated processing of personal information". Let's just hope that personal information is not a strictly defined as it is in CCPA or that we see some amendments to make this #OPA a bit less stringent (if and before it goes to a vote). #consumerprotection #privacy #dataprivacy #dataprotection #datasecurity #gdpr
