Rebecca Phyland is a landscape ecologist with a strong interest in coastal and wetland restoration, boasting experience in designing and managing various ecological restoration projects across different regions of Australia. With a background in environmental education, Rebecca brings over 20 years of expertise to her current role as the leader of the Conservation Educators team at Zoos SA. She also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Environmental Science at Flinders University, focusing on researching innovative solutions for building resilient ecosystems and supervising student projects. Rebecca actively engages in environmental consulting projects in Australia and the Pacific Islands, emphasizing the significance of effective science communication and community involvement in environmental conservation. Beyond her professional commitments, she volunteers with several Not for Profit organizations, including The Pink Heath Project, Trash Hero Adelaide, The Climate Reality Project, and the Australian Conservation Foundation.
