Riyadh Baghdadi is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi, a Global Network Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at NYU's Tandon School of Engineering, and a Research Affiliate at MIT.451 He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at MIT from 2015 to 2020, under the advisement of Saman Amarasinghe.63 He obtained his Ph.D. from Sorbonne University (Paris 6, France) in 2015, after which he worked as a postdoc at MIT.12 He also holds a master's degree from ESI (Algeria).1 His LinkedIn username is mrbaghdadi.27

Baghdadi's research interests lie in the intersection of applied machine learning and compilers, including building compilers for deep learning and using machine learning in compilers to enable automatic code optimization.14 He has experience in building compilers and code generators for high-performance architectures, particularly for deep learning, image processing, and dense tensor algebra.6 He led the development of the Tiramisu compiler, a polyhedral compiler for dense computations.46
