Highlights
20,000 jobs and training opportunities for young people in the region is both needed and a welcome ambition from Richard Parker and the West Midlands Combined Authority.
I look forward to working, along with the local third sector partners, employers and training organisations to deliver transformational opportunities for young people.
Our Miss Macaroon Macaroons that Make A Difference course trainees are half way through their second week on the programme. They've had an inspiring mentor talk, a mental wellbeing at work session to build their coping skills and reset neural pathways to build self-belief, a resilience practical exercise in the training kitchen and many more activities to build their work skills, CVs and interview skills.
They're incredibly motivated to move into work in baking, teaching, administration and retail.
