3 months ago, we published the construction industry's first large-scale inefficiencies study. It was the first time someone analysed dozens of construction processes, start to end, down to the socket level, and finally tackled the industry's biggest mystery in a data-driven way - why are construction projects always late?

But the most significant understanding is not the specific metrics presented and their effect, it is the fact that there is a clear path for fixing those inefficiencies and, with that - delivering projects on time and within budget.

Since publishing the results, we've been extensively collaborating with academia, industry experts and leading contractors to create new construction management frameworks aimed at maximizing project performance. The results are unbelievable, so stay tuned.

This playbook, published in collaboration with Aaron Akehurst, P.Eng., LEED BDC, CM-Lean from PCL Construction, provides a simple but impactful framework for maximizing construction performance.
