Highlights
I’m excited to share what I’ve been working on over the last year.
My closest friends and family know I've been struggling with acne for 10+ years. I tried everything from prescription medications to topical creams, homemade remedies…you name it. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on products that promise clear skin, painful facials, supplements, bacteria-fighting pillowcases, etc. And, of course, I’ve been on diets that were meant to clear my skin from the inside out.
My clear-skin journey has been long, expensive, and worst of all, lonely. I never felt like there was a resource I could actually trust to help me find the answers I was looking for. Every website was trying to sell me a product, or a program. I’d often give in out of desperation and was left disappointed and back to square one. It wasn’t until I took a holistic approach to skin care that I was actually able to clear my acne.
Don’t get me wrong, I still break out every once in a while – I’m only human and perfect skin, I’ve learned, doesn’t exist. What I know now is how to care for my skin.
I created bānuskin as a resource for others looking to clear their acne. It’s the community I wish I had over a decade ago. It’s a safe space where those of us struggling with acne can share our experiences, get advice, and access unbiased information so that we can make the right choices for our skin.
If you’ve ever struggled with acne, I invite you to join the bānuskin community.
