Rusty Ingold-Smith is a graduate of University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in Parks and Recreation Management BA, specializing in Non-profit recreational management. He also holds a certificate in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency from Greenfield Community College. Rusty is deeply passionate about the environment, wildlife management, environmental education, and land stewardship.

Rusty has a diverse background in environmental education, including teaching about migratory shorebirds and barrier island ecology, as well as leading trips in fish identification off the North Carolina coast. He has contributed photos of birds to the Going Green publication and self-publishes images of nature from his outdoor excursions.

In the renewable energy sector, Rusty is a seasoned professional with expertise in Photovoltaic installation for both commercial and residential applications. He has managed installation crews and personally overseen the installation of over 300 KiloWatts. Rusty is dedicated to exploring innovative ideas to contribute to environmental improvement through his career.

Currently, Rusty Ingold-Smith serves as an Outreach Specialist at Northeast Solar. He has previously held positions such as Crew Leader at Northeast Solar Design Associates LLC, Energy Efficiency Coordinator at the Town of Greenfield, MA, Guppy Camp Director at WB Surf Camp, Wind Meter Tower Installer at NORESCO LLC, and Solar Consultant at Northeast Solar.
