Samara Chadwick

Samara Grace Chadwick is an Acadian documentary filmmaker, writer, and social theorist born in 1982 in Saint John, Canada.13 She has spent over 15 years working in the documentary film industry across Europe, North America, and South America.15
Chadwick's educational background includes:

In 2018, Chadwick released her critically acclaimed debut feature documentary "1999," which explores community healing, grief, and adolescence.2 The film premiered at Visions du réel and Hot Docs, and has since been screened at over 50 festivals and educational institutions worldwide.2
Currently, Samara Chadwick serves as the Executive Director of The Flaherty, an organization dedicated to promoting innovative and provocative documentary work.24
