Highlights
It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to meet and interact with students as part of the event "Women In STEM and Entrepreneurship: Creating Leaders" organized by the British High Commission in India , and the University of Oxford to mark 40 years of #Chevening Scholarships & Fellowships in Kochi!
The event had sessions led by Chevening Alumni focusing on #ArtificialIntelligence, #Education, #GreenEnergy, #Innovation, #InclusiveFinance amongst others and has been a huge inspiration for not only the students but for all of us as well.
It’s a huge learning experience for me to participate for the 1st time in the CRISP Social Impact Nonprofit team, now being expanded to include Chevening Gurukul fellows and being rechristened to CSVI to create social impact. Am honored and excited to take on the role of board of directors of this NGO for the upcoming year.
Meeting my mentors Richard Briant and John Hoffmire from University of Oxford, and fellow #Cheveners has rekindled the memories from college and has been both inspirational and emotional. Some of us also got a chance to visit HMS Spey, a British warship docked in Kochi and interact with both the Indian Navy and Royal Navy and learn about their experiences. It's great to see 40% of officers were women. Special thanks to Supriya Chawla from British High Commission and Nasif NM from the Kerala Startup Mission!
