Savannah Kochinke

Research Assistant at National Bureau of Economic Research

Savannah Kochinke is a dedicated research assistant to Professor Elizabeth Setren at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and the Student Experiential Internship Initiative (SEII) at Tufts University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in International Economics from Georgetown University and a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Savannah's professional journey includes roles as a Research Analyst at Cornerstone Research and as part of the team at the Centre for Economic Performance. Her work has focused on the Economics of Policing and Crime, contributing to various research projects. Currently, Savannah's research at NBER and SEII involves assessing the impact of school desegregation programs on diverse aspects of students' lives such as academic performance, employment opportunities, civic engagement, housing choices, and social outcomes. She is passionate about exploring applied microeconomics, labor market dynamics, education policies, and crime economics to address societal inequalities.
