Highlights
Even though it's a lot, I'm always sad when GDC ends. The sudden quiet after the intense week is invariably jarring.
Great time meeting up with old friends, new startups, studios doing launches, games investors, and always wishing I could have seen more.
Special thanks to my co-presenters Dave Rohrl & Steven Meretzky who truly did a fantastic job, including a full rewrite of one of the segments after breaking news the day before the show. Real dedication. I'd say our talk went well. Early raves include:
"Great talk!!" "Brilliant!" and "The nerve of this guy to show up at the F2P summit talking about premium games"
(Another satisfied customer.)
Thanks all for another fantastic GDC! (With bonus picture of dog I'm happy to be home again to see. 😁 )
Just saw an "afterparty" invite charging founders for "warm intros," and having investors come free. If you have to pay for a warm intro, it is not a warm intro. In the legitimate investment world this is called scummy and gross. Avoid. #gdc #gdc2024
