He holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service with a focus on International and Intercultural Communication from Georgetown University, complemented by studies in Persian/Farsi language through the Strategic Language Initiative program at California State University, Fullerton.

Shahrooz's expertise spans various areas including internal communications, change management (ProSci/ADKAR methodology), employee engagement, executive communications, content development, video production, project management, marketing, sales, social media, and community organizing.

Throughout his career, he has held significant roles such as Internal Communications Manager at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and the American Chemical Society. Moreover, he has worked as a Field Organizer for Hillary for America in Florida and as a Communications Consultant at The AIDS Institute.

His professional journey also includes positions like Director of Business Development at TechChange, Director of Strategic Partnerships at CrowdHall, Capitol Hill Fellow at the United States Senate SAA, Consultant at the Middle East Partnership Initiative, Project Manager at The Energy Coalition, and Executive Assistant to the Mayor at the City of Irvine.
