Highlights
Our breath is often our fastest way back to our centre.
And even as a certified breathwork facilitator, I still find myself holding my breath during moments of intense stress.
We breathe up to 25,000 times a day yet most of those breaths are unconscious and shallow.
Yet, I also know the fastest way to a regulated nervous system is to breathe.
Whether it’s in-hold-out for 4 seconds box breathing, or laying on the ground, focusing on your breath to ground yourself.
The breath brings us straight into the body and out of the mind - it’s our own potent medicine that we have access to in every single moment.
Regardless of our age, experience, stressor, or beliefs, our breath is something we all have in common.
I facilitated a lady in her 60s last week who woke up from a breathwork session and said 'Why did it take me this long to realize how powerful my breath is?!'
In a world that tried to convince us we need to go external to find answers and feel better, the most empowering thing you can do is build a deeper relationship with your breath.
As you read this, I invite you to take the biggest inhale for 6, pause at the top for 3 and exhale for 8.
Do this 3 times.
Notice any differences in how you feel.

Just because it's Summer, doesn't mean unhealthy stress doesn't exist.
43% of women in corporate America said they were burned out (McKinsey 2023).
As a woman, I'm curious, if you're feeling increased stress in your work - what’s the most significant stressor for you right now?
