The most punk-rock thing I've seen come to hiking: Thru -Skateboarding. I am always excited about the new ways people explore the world and get outside, and I love it when the outdoor and action sports worlds collide. It was fascinating learning about this quickly-growing activity for Season 8 of REI's Wild Ideas Worth Living Podcast with "Moondog" Roop. The show has a lineup of exciting new guests -- some famous you've heard of, and some you'll want to know, as well as a new presenting sponsor, Capital One. This particular interview has caused a ton of interesting people to reach out, so figured I also would share here. I am lucky to talk to such wild humans for work. If you like this one you will also love the inspiring show we recently did with @ChadVanags who is doing as many wild ideas as possible and an upcoming show with a guy who traveled around the world in ten years without getting on an airplane.

Do stuff that scares you on the weekend so you can have more courage to do the things that scare you during your week at work. I just tried Deep End Fitness this weekend to get me more comfortable with uncomfortable situations. It was terrifying (don't let the smile fool you) and it made me so much more courageous, and gave me a better story to tell to a company I presented to today. I highly recommend doing a few things that scare you every month and booking them on your calendar.
