🌟 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 🌟

The following thoughts were triggered when seeing one of Raju Narisetti's recent posts - and it had nothing to do with the specific content (although you can bank on Raju for sharing relevant insights and thought-provoking opinions). It simply made me think about how we first met.

And then I was looking for a picture of this one evening during our The Forum of Young Global Leaders Exec education module with Cambridge Judge Business School. The one where we got to sit next to each other.

Looking at the pictures from that week, seeing the faces of so many wonderful human beings, people who have brought so many new topics and view points into my life, people who embody the beauty of diversity... ...I felt and feel highly grateful. Grateful for this community.

𝗜𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹.

It is not about finding like-minded individuals who share our perspectives, but discovering 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲-𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. We may then create 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

The past few weeks have been testimony to the gift, the beauty, and the power of community. ❤️

𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀.

Lessons usually brought to life in moments that fundamentally test my patience as a Mum… think of a child that is yelling NO from the bottom of her lungs or vehemently insisting on doing something herself when you are already running late…. Challenging – BUT also a fantastic invitation to think, reflect and learn about myself.

Never have I met a better coach than my toddler. Her and my big four are: 💛 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 💛 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 💛 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 💛 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗻𝗼

Feeling the feelings, for example, is reflecting on a child going from highs to lows and back - and has told me to 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, to understand their relevance, and to start sharing them more openly and with confidence, for instance, with my teams.

𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀. The next time your 3-, 4- or 5-year old is turning your face red, breathe, look twice and think twice. Maybe they are in the process of giving you a gift. The gift of a life lesson that no professional coach will ever get across quite like that.

Credits to my 4-year old. The best gift. And lesson for life.
