Highlights
Last evening I had the privilege of being plus one for my very good friend Helen Morgan FCCA, MBA for the Women on Boards event.
Any ego’s were left firmly at the door. We joined a room full of people that were attending either as they were embarking on a journey in a board position or because they are keen to share good practise and different perspectives given the experience they’d already gained.
What resonated with me was that each speaker was humble enough to say that imposter syndrome is an issues for them, yet they manage to overcome it while being their authentic self. This honesty added an element of colour to what they spoke about and made the content far more relatable given their humility. Key take away for me: Our roles in our personal lives and our careers are most certainly a journey and one that evolves over time. We cant be everything to everyone, nor can we excel at everything. Focus on what you are really good at and love. Passion for what you do always shines through. Appreciate what everyone brings to the table even it its not a skill you can relate to or necessarily see value in right now, diversity typically adds value. Have purpose.
Thank you for an evening of positivity. A safe place to share experiences, challenges and to champion one another.

Such a great afternoon with a table of lovely ladies to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Women in Wales charity lunch.
Supporting a number of amazing charities, including Paul Satori which is extremely close to my families heart after all the care they provided my cousin Sharon during the last stages of her breast cancer journey.
Such moving tributes, amazing contributions and time to reflect on how precious life is to each and every one of us.
