Stavros Papadopoulos is the Founder & CEO of TileDB, Inc., established in February 2017, with a strong background in computer science and engineering.
Before founding TileDB, Stavros worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the Intel Parallel Computing Lab and was a member of the Intel Science and Technology Center for Big Data at MIT CSAIL for a period of three years.
He also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) for approximately two years.
Stavros completed his PhD in Computer Science from HKUST under the guidance of Prof. Dimitris Papadias and later undertook a postdoc fellow position at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with Prof. Yufei Tao.
