SALES IS NOT A 4 LETTER WORD... . . . . .

Sales as a profession has earned a bad reputation for things like:

❌ - Tone deaf outreach with zero research.

❌ - Pushy reps hawking their "solutions" without understanding the the prospects' problems.

❌ - Reps misrepresenting their product or services

These are just to name a few.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of that reputation is justified.

What's the culprit?

Sales culture.

How do I know?

Here are few stats to set the tone:

🔵 - 82% of decision makers think sales people are unprepared [Spotio]

🔵 - 85% of prospects and customers are dissatisfied with their on-the-phone experience.[Salesforce]

🔵 - 58% of buyers report that sales reps are unable to answer their questions effectively. [Forbes Insight]

It's clear, that "companies tolerate a level of selling that fits with their business model. If there is no commercial advantage to having good sales people they will put up with what they can get."

And so the perception of the profession persists.

Sales is a set of specialized skills. A skill set that requires understanding of human psychology, and in-depth product knowledge.

(Great) Salespeople help prospects to view their business from a different vantage point. And always keep the prospects' ideal outcomes in mind.

When done right, you close more deals - faster, customers leave happy and tell their colleagues.

People hate to be sold to but they love to buy.

How do you build a sales culture that smashes company goals ?

It's simple: coach and train your reps on how to do it the right way.

✅ - A structured coaching program can lead to a 28% higher win rate and 88% increase in productivity. [Qwilr]

✅ - Sales coaching boosts team performance, with real-time coaching increasing annual revenue by 8%. [Qwilr]
