Steven Guilbeault

Steven Guilbeault is a co-founder and senior director of Equiterre, with a strong focus on environmental issues and climate change since the early 1990s.

Over the past two decades, he has a rich professional background including ten years at Greenpeace Canada and Greenpeace International, senior advisory roles at Deloitte and Touche, and contributions as a columnist for various media outlets such as Metro, Radio-Canada, La Presse, and Corporate Knights.

Recognized in 2009 as one of the top 50 global figures in sustainable development by the French magazine Le Monde, Steven is also an honorary member of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.

He received the University of Montreal's Medal of the University in 2012 for his exceptional career, a distinction shared with notable figures like Christopher Reeves and Oliver Jones.

In addition to his professional achievements, Steven Guilbeault is a proud father of four children.
