Suzanna Rose is a distinguished academic professional with significant experience in promoting women, equity, and diversity in academia.

As the founding Associate Provost for the Office to Advance Women, Equity and Diversity at Florida International University, she leads initiatives to enhance the recruitment, promotion, and retention of women and underrepresented minority faculty.

Rose is a Professor of Psychology and Women's and Gender Studies, with a background in conducting research on gender, race, and sexual orientation issues.

She played a pivotal role in the NSF ADVANCE Institutional Transformation grant at FIU, focusing on developing evidence-based solutions to reduce bias in faculty hiring, promotion, and retention.

With a PhD in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, Rose has held various administrative positions at FIU, including Executive Director of the School of Integrated Science and Humanity, Senior Associate Dean for the Sciences, and Chair of Psychology.

Her extensive publication record encompasses topics such as professional networks, career development, leadership, and personal relationships.

Furthermore, Rose has provided consultancy services to numerous universities nationally and internationally on strategies for attracting and retaining women faculty in science and engineering.
