US SOLAR INSTALLATIONS IN Q1 2024 SURPASS 100GW

That being said, progress is being made.
SOLVING THE CLIMATE CRISIS
Another record Hurricane in the Caribbean.
Another record heat wave in <insert place name here>.
More record floods.
We know that we have a problem to solve here.
What we're confused about is how to do it.
We can't suck GHGs out of the air to make it work (this won't hurt, but it has minimal effect ~4%).
We can't rely on tech to hack our way out (Google, Apple, Microsoft and other tech giants have all stated they will blow by their Net Zero targets due to massively ballooning AI carbon budgets).
IT IS CLEAR that the only path forward is cutting the emissions, which means transitioning from heavy GHG polluting processes to much less GHG impactful processes.
This may sound simple, but it's an irrefutable law of biology that we must adhere to. There's no way around it.
Rapidly cutting emissions represents ~96% of the solution to the climate crisis.
This 10 minute video by Jonathan Foley at The Drawdown Project is one of the best, most clear and concise communications pieces on the subject.
Let's go.
