Hi friends,

I have been trying to help a young Israeli family with a 2 year old, (Aviv, her husband Idan, and their baby Tohar,) who were evacuated from their kibbutz on the Israeli border on the very first day of the war.

They left their home with a single suitcase, hoping to return soon. Sadly, their home remains in a war zone, and they are not allowed to go back. They first went all the way to Costa Rica having been promised accomodations that feel though, then to Toronto, where they have moved between four different houses, each time hoping to find stability. Now, they are faced with the need to move again and they have exhausted their savings.

I suggested they start a Go Fund Me campaign in the hopes that they raise some of the funds they will need as they will have to remain here for another 6 months. They were generously offered half price on a rental by a kind Family, but have exhausted their savings so are looking for support. It has been heartbreaking to hear this family's story.

Please share far and wide if you can on social media and with family, friends, and community members to help support this sweet family in need. Thank you in advance to anyone who has the means to support them through this difficult time. 💜

I'm excited to announce the winners for Eventbrite'S 2023 RECONVENCE Accelerator program! CONGRATULATIONS to @victorialoi, @storybookmaze, @weschiller, @poetrymeplease, and @curveswithmoves! I can’t wait to see their dream events come to life. Check out the moment the winners heard the good news!

I was able to vote for an applicant in the wellness category and selected Jessie Diaz-Herrera from Power Plus Wellness. (@curveswithmoves) I loved her idea for an initiative to create a safe place for plus sized women to move and relate to their bodies. This will undoubtedly be a fun, empowering, connection building and nourishing event. Jessie: I look forward to our 1:1 mentorship call later this month!

It was an honor to be a judge for this event and a big thanks to Eventbrite for offering such a great opportunity to entrepreneurs and supporting them in a dream come true.
