Australian space industry innovators making history - 6 new CubeSats in orbit !
Over the last two weeks, teams across the country have launched a literal coast-to-coast formation of Aussie CubeSat spacecraft into space:
- #Binar 2, 3, and 4 from Western Australia (built by Curtin University) on the #ISS
- #Kanyini from South Australia (built by Inovor Technologies)
- #WaratahSeed-1 (built by the ARC Training Centre for CubeSats, UAVs, and their Applications (CUAVA) as part of the Waratah Seed Space Qualification Mission, and
- #CUAVA-2 (also built by CUAVA).
That's a total of 6 CubeSats built by Australian consortia, each spacecraft carrying multiple payloads, and behind each payload is a startup and/or research team who are at the edge of their seats as these spacecraft are commissioned on orbit and begin to return data.
