When I entered into the marketing field, I quickly learned that trends come and go at a rapid pace. As a marketer, you’re never truly “caught up” on the latest and greatest.. perhaps just less behind. Despite knowing this, I still find myself in a place of awe when a new technology rises to the top and completely changes the way we do things.
Lately, I've been in a constant state of learning both as a consumer and as a professional. I've always believed that you’re responsible for your own education. When I wanted to learn makeup, I spent hours on YouTube. I found an interest in psychology and have read countless books. When I wanted to become a better cook, I took some classes… (this one might still be a work in progress). The point is… we’re all on our own journey. I have yet to meet another person who’s life focus is to create a better “Tori.” That’s my job! Although, I must admit, I’ve been lucky to have been met with many helping hands along the way. Speaking of which… let’s talk about Keystone Industries. As you may have seen, I spent the last few weeks at both cosmetic and dental shows where I was encouraged to absorb as much as I could. That’s because even after 6 years, there’s still such an incredible amount to learn. I’m grateful to have found myself at a company that shares in my values, and provides the tools to keep growing. Lastly, I’m so excited to share that just after returning from Chicago and prior to departing for Europe, I completed Wharton’s Leadership and Management Certification. This course focused both on people leadership and global corporate strategy and took just under a year to complete. I don't pat myself on the back often, but I worked hard for this. Yay me! 2023 has already been one heck of a year, and I’m ready to slow down for a bit. Of course that doesn’t mean I’m not already planning my next adventure. Any suggestions?!
