Highlights
Yesterday afternoon, at my alma mater’s Seattle campus (Northeastern University Seattle), I had the pleasure of moderating a conversation with inspiring and incredible leaders, Shami Marangwanda of Starbucks, Betsy M. of Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Shelmina Babai Abji, Bestselling Author of Show Your Worth and former IBM Executive.
Thank you, Regional Dean Dave Thurman, Associate Dean Rebecca Steffenson, Jaren Walker, the Women Who Empower team: Sr. Vice President of University Advancement Diane Nishigaya MacGillivray, Betsy L. Ashley Olafsen Grace Leavitt, and all those involved for organizing such a unique and insightful event. We discussed a variety of topics, such as identifying a mentor vs. a sponsor, key pivotal moments that propelled these women towards leadership, and, most importantly, their dedication to continuously uplifting women and launching their careers forward.
Thank you all for this experience, and I am so proud to be a part of the fantastic Women Who Empower Community at Northeastern University!
