Vyki Englert is the founder of Compiler, a civic tech agency focused on enhancing Los Angeles through various projects. She has served as an ambassador for the state’s open data program and has developed web applications for notable clients such as City of Los Angeles, State of California Health and Human Services, and the California Community Foundation. Additionally, Vyki is a co-founder of Policy Club, actively engaging in data analysis and advocating for smarter state policies in California. She has a background in Computer Science from Santa Monica College and holds a degree certificate in Geospatial Information Systems from the University of California, Riverside. Vyki Englert has been actively involved in different organizations including being a former Board Member at GreenInfo Network, Managing Partner at Compiler, Product Manager at BrightHive, Advisor at CityGrows, Brigade Captain at Hack for LA, Developer at NationBuilder, and holding various roles in different capacities in organizations like Rails Girls Summer of Code, City of Santa Monica, Catalina Island Conservancy, SDSU Research Foundation, and Student Conservation Association.
