Wong Yongjie

Wong Yongjie is a co-founder and former Chief Marketing Officer of Qourier, a delivery start-up he established with his business partner Elston Yee.12 He held the CMO position at Qourier from August 2014 to March 2022.2 Wong and Yee developed the idea for Qourier while studying at Temasek Polytechnic, where they were inspired by a course on technopreneurship.1

Before co-founding Qourier, Wong worked as a director for Starbucks China's loyalty program.1 He and Yee quit their jobs in January 2014 to pursue their entrepreneurial venture.1 With support from Temasek Polytechnic's Entrepreneurship Centre and a grant from Spring Singapore, they launched Qourier, an on-demand service connecting customers to crowdsourced couriers.1

Under Wong's leadership as CMO, Qourier grew significantly:

  • The company expanded to over 7,000 couriers
  • It serviced more than 500 companies
  • Wong was recognized as one of SBR's Top 10 CMOs under 40 in 20182

After his tenure at Qourier, Wong has taken on new roles:

  • Head of Marketing at Supermeta+ from 2022 to 20243
  • Currently serves as Marketing Communications Director at OPZ3
