"We need to take into account what human beings are like and how they function, what makes them motivated, what makes them do great things. What do they need to recharge and reboot, and you know ... have a life"

Random find of the day - this is really interesting short documentary. In only one hour, It gives great cultural and historical overview of the main causes for a modern phenomenon called "Burnout". In times, when organizations are struggling to keep their employees productive and motivated, this video hints some of the major factors slowing down employees satisfaction and results. I would guess that Millennials and Gen-Z together hold the biggest share in today's corporate headcount. Their motivation should be the main concern of management, but is it? How many times you have heard people saying "they are just lazy" or "drama queens"?, and my favorite "oh, when we were at your age, we were so much better" :D The largest corporations are trying to fake a startup lifestyle at the workplace to keep their young workforce happy by giving them ping pong tables in the office. Until the robots come to takeover, people are still the most valuable asset of every company. Yes, not everything is in the hands of the HRs when it comes to preventing burnouts, but we spend the majority of our day at work. Who knows, maybe talent and people management can boost revenues better than just hiring more sales reps.

Hope you will also find this interesting. #laborday

Coming back to my senses after #mpe2024! It was my first time visiting the event with IXOPAY and everything during these three days reminded me why I have adopted the idea of agnostic payment orchestration as my own, almost religious belief. More companies than ever are pitching orchestration as part of their services and yet, the most conservative among you are still trying to undermine the importance of orchestrators when talking to merchants. I will save you the long post about what are our views on #orchestration, but you are welcome to challenge me on that. If you think that orchestration is just a trend or a buzz word, maybe you should listen to Adam's 15 min presentation on "5 Reasons NOT to work with a payment orchestrator" https://lnkd.in/dpVUnXqq As usual, it is always a pleasure meeting new people and debunking the fintech myths!
