Zuzana Keckesova

Zuzana Keckesova is an esteemed professional with a strong educational background in virology, molecular biology, cancer research, and genetic engineering.

Zuzana has recently taken on the role of Group Leader at the prestigious Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry (IOCB) in Prague, Czech Republic, where she leads research initiatives in the field of tumorigenesis, metastasis, and cancer tissue tropism.

Prior to her current position, Zuzana served as a dedicated Postdoctoral Fellow at the renowned Whitehead Institute of Biomedical Research, MIT, focusing on cancer research under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Weinberg.

Her academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Infection, Immunity, and Molecular Biology from University College London, a PhD internship in Virology at Columbia University in New York, and obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) and Bachelor's Degree from Charles University in Prague.

Zuzana Keckesova's expertise and research interests revolve around unraveling the intricate molecular mechanisms that drive tumorigenesis, metastasis, and the tissue specificity of cancer.
