Highlights
After four amazing years at The Engine, I’m excited to be stepping into a new role as Head of Operations at FORAY.
Looking back on my time at The Engine, I’m filled with gratitude. It's been like living through a real-world graduate degree in Tough Tech entrepreneurship, surrounded by some of the most inspiring people I've ever met. I often found myself thinking, "I can't believe I get to do this for a living!"
While the journey at The Engine has been profoundly humbling in so many ways, I have to give a special shoutout to the incredible innovators I met while leading the Blueprint program. Your example and inspiration have lead me to make this leap.
The opportunity to work with Ashley Beckwith, whom I first met during the Fall 2021 Blueprint Cohort, feels like destiny. I'm sincerely grateful for this next step and excited to join such an incredible team and mission.
Exactly one month from today, I'll be at the starting line of the NYC Marathon in support of Experience Camps for Grieving Children. My own journey with grief began after the loss of my Dad. The experience was a life-altering moment that reshaped my priorities and left me searching for ways to cope and heal. As a former college swimmer, I've always found solace and strength in sports, and it was natural for me to seek comfort in the world of endurance events. It was during one of these events that I had a moment of clarify: my athletic pursuits should be about more than just personal growth and coping—they should serve a greater purpose. That’s when I decided to adopt a purpose-driven life, looking for ways to give back and make a tangible impact.
As I near the end of my training, I'm reminded why I'm running: In my own experience at Experience Camps for Adults this Summer, it became clear to me that while grief may bring moments of pain and sadness, it also has the power to foster connection, a sense of belonging, and create an extended family. As some say, there is an "invisible string" that binds all who grieve. It's our job to assure grieving children that they're surrounded by love, support, and many others who understand their journey.
Please join me in supporting this wonderful cause!
