Alexandra Saieh is a senior professional with a strong background in policy, advocacy, and communications, specializing in humanitarian and conflict settings.

With over a decade of experience, Alexandra excels in leading advocacy campaigns, providing expert advice on displacement issues, crafting policy positions, managing donor relations, and conducting field-based research for advocacy and communications purposes.

Her areas of expertise encompass displacement, migration, refugee contexts, durable solutions, fragile states, humanitarian access negotiations, human rights, and international humanitarian law.

Geographically, Alexandra has focused on the Middle East and North Africa, with hands-on experience in Iraq, Tunisia, Libya, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine.

She holds a Master of Arts in Gender Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a focus on Arabic Studies from Boston College.

Alexandra has also undertaken specialized studies in Arabic at Middlebury College and participated in the Palestine and Arabic Studies Summer Program at Birzeit University.

In her professional journey, Alexandra has held key roles at prominent organizations such as the Norwegian Refugee Council and Oxfam, where she served in various positions including Policy, Advocacy, and Media Manager in Libya and North Africa, Global Advocacy and Media Advisor, Policy and Advocacy Advisor in the Syria Response Office, among others.

Additionally, Alexandra has valuable experience working with World Vision, American Red Cross, and has interned at the United Nations in the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

She is known for her capability in leading high-performing teams towards policy change, engaging with decision-makers, drafting impactful policy briefs and reports, lobbying for humanitarian assistance and human rights, overseeing media campaigns, and serving as a spokesperson to international media outlets.
