Andrew Plumley is the Senior Director of Equity and Inclusion for the American Alliance of Museums, where he oversees internal diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI) work.1 He is also the CEO and Founder of Know Better Do Better Consulting, which supports organizations in creating more diverse and inclusive workplace cultures.1

Plumley, a 2011 graduate of Middlebury College, was a two-sport athlete competing in basketball and football.1 He has partnered with the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) to provide guidance on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives.1

In his role at the American Alliance of Museums, Plumley manages the Ford, Walton, and Mellon Foundation-funded Facing Change Initiative, which focuses on advancing museum board diversity and inclusion.1 He is also involved in various leadership positions, serving as the Young Black and Giving Back Institute Board Chair, Board Secretary at Equity in the Center, an Adventure Theatre trustee, and an American Express N-Gen Fellow.1
