NEW WORK: My friends at The Center For Artistic Activism asked Shift 7 Studio LLC to design an identity for the Voter Concierge Corps, a grassroots, peer-to-peer and non-partisan voter assistance program they are expanding in the 2024 election cycle.

The VCC enlists volunteers to help low-involvement voters get registered, make voting plans and work out the logistics of making sure their votes are cast and counted.

The logotype is built around the serendipitous alignment of the letter ‘O’ in each of the words, which is recast as the ovals next to names on a ballot. The type is set in Bayard by Vocal Type, which was drawn based on a sign promoting the March on Washignton, a watershed moment for American civil rights and democracy.

The program will launch this summer.

Whoa— I just opened PrintMag.com, and lo and behold, there was the cover of "Material Wealth: Mining the Archive of Allen Ginsberg", which I designed, at the top of the home page... what an honor! Please join author Pat Thomas and I this Thursday as we discuss our collaboration on this book with Steven Heller and Debbie Millman.
