With a background in nonprofit management, international development, Indigenous reconciliation, engineering design, and community mobilization, Annelies brings a wealth of experience to her work. She customizes her support to clients by drawing on her diverse organizational experiences.

Annelies Tjebbes holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Electrical Engineering with a Biomedical Option from The University of British Columbia, where she graduated with distinction. She also completed the Getting to Maybe Residency in Social Innovation at The Banff Centre.

In her professional journey, Annelies has held various roles including Founder & Principal at Roots & Rivers Consulting, Adjunct Professor in Applied Sciences at The University of British Columbia, Community Impact Director & Community Team Director at Engineers Without Borders Canada, and Quality Assurance Specialist at StarFish Medical.

Her experience also includes positions such as Biomedical Electrical Engineer, Co-Founder, National Office Social Change Fellow, Biomedical Engineering Co-op, and Junior Fellow in different organizations. Annelies Tjebbes has also served as an Instructor at GEERing Up! Science and Engineering for Kids.
