This Gallup article is another data point underscoring the importance of culture, belonging and the environment leaders create for their people to do their work.

I can tell you first hand that when I had a best friend at work, I had more capacity, resilience, satisfaction and pride in my work. Additionally, working with someone to lean on or talk about ideas is priceless.

Leaders who are thoughtful about building their team's culture understand how creating a safe space where people can form deep relationships and do their best work is essential to high performance and to their success. Be intentional about creating opportunities for people to interact at work and have fun.
