Well... I'm gonna start sharing some Pro Tips regarding all things Apple, and you can decide whether or not they're helpful. (Sincerest apologies, Android folks. I'm just too deep in the 'ecosystem'... 😉)
This first one has been useful for years and years but doesn't seem to be as well known to other iPhone users. Hope it helps!
PS please react, comment, or share if this #ProTip helped you!

Not sure if you agree with this ish, but IMO the single biggest void in Corporate America is humanity.
Where is the compassion? Where is the humor? Where is the sincerity? Where is the loyalty? Where is the vulnerability? Like seriously, ask yourself, how often do you see those characteristics on the daily?
I'm not saying it's not there. But in my experience, it's so rare that it becomes the exception, not the norm.
I was once in a strategy meeting and the person who was presenting started fumbling on their words, got choked up, but then apologized by briefly mentioning a family emergency that happened the night before with his young daughter. I was only quiet because I fully expected his boss or any other executive in the room to immediately excuse him and tell him to rush home to be with his family.
SILENCE. The presentation shockingly continued, I slacked him (but with no authority except for being a human) and told him he should head home to be with his family. A few other peers that were human beings did the same.
Looking back, that strategy meeting probably meant nothing to the presenter (who left the company just months later).
Most of us are not doing great. Most of us wear masks, forced on us in the name of professionalism. Which means most of us aren't always who we really want to be at work.
If you're reading this, you're either the problem or you're affected by the problem. And either way, you can be the change. You can either allow for more humanity or you can demand it being shown to you more often.
Tell more jokes. Be silly. Wear a hat. Tell your boss in your 1:1 that you're struggling at home. Change your company culture before it changes you.
So let's flip the script, tag someone who has shown you humanity at work. Tag a friend, boss, or peer who values you for more than your output. And if you can't tell, I love stories haha so please share your moments of seeing humanity in action!
