Bridget Boakye is a woman on a mission, seeking to promote an open, inclusive, and equitable internet through her work in internet policy. She began her career as a math teacher in New York City before pivoting to business in Ghana, where she worked for several innovative startups in the media-tech and shipping-tech industries. Bridget has also worked for the Jack-Ma Foundation and consulted on strategy and content for the first independent Ghanaian oil company. She is a trained data scientist with a passion for public service, and she is currently the Policy Lead for Africa at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. Bridget holds an MBA/Master of Public Administration Candidate, a pre-MBA leadership program from Yale University, and a degree in Economics and Education from Swarthmore College. In her spare time, Bridget enjoys reading, writing, adventure travel, and learning.
