Highlights
Hi Friends and Colleagues,
As you know, the past ten months have been difficult for me due to my hand injury and the numerous surgeries I had to undergo to get to where I am today.
However, I have always tried to live by Frank Sinatra’s quote, “The best revenge is massive success,” and to turn a bad situation into a positive one.
With that said, I wanted to share some great news with you on a Dan 2.0 development plan milestone I accomplished over the weekend!
I passed the prestigious Portfolio Management Professional (#PfMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (#PMI) on Saturday, 8/12!
What is the PfMP certification? Holding the PfMP certification indicates the advanced competency in the coordinated management of one or more portfolios to achieve strategic objectives. Formal portfolio management is the most effective way to implement strategic initiatives because it bridges the gap between strategy and implementation. The certification requires eight years of business experience, four years of portfolio management experience, a detailed application process with a panel review, and a proctored four-hour exam of 170 questions.
On top of passing the PfMP certification, I now hold the holy trinity of PMI certifications #PMP, #PgMP, and #PfMP: PMP (Project Management Professional) passed in 2009 with 1.4MM current certification holders, PgMP (Program Management Professional) passed in 2020 with 5K certification holders, and as of Saturday the PfMP with 1.5K certification holders! You can see how rare this accomplishment is!
I look forward to adapting my new skills from this certification into my work here at Charter to deliver strategic objectives better.
Thank you to Charter Communications/Spectrum and my leadership Lori Lemmen, Karen Rice, PMP, Kevin Uyeno, and Kim Carroll for sponsoring my PfMP certification and believing in me to achieve this honor!
Thank you to Procifics for providing amazing training, mentoring, and support to pass my PfMP exam! Not only did they help me pass my PfMP exam, but they also helped me pass my PgMP exam in 2020! If you are looking for a rock star training company for your PfMP and or PgMP please check out Procifics!
I look forward to continuing to develop and execute my Dan 2.0 development plan as I build my career here at Charter Communications.
Forever Forward!
