Dominic Kao is an Assistant Professor at Purdue University and the director of the Virtual Futures Lab. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT, a M.S.E. in Computer Science from Princeton University, and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta, Dominic has a solid educational background. Prior to academia, he honed his skills as a game developer at Electronic Arts. His research focuses on virtual worlds, games, and education, aiming to understand the impact of virtual environments on individuals and to establish effective strategies for designing games and learning platforms. He is deeply involved in games research, human-computer interaction (HCI), and educational initiatives.
