Emma Winsor Wood is an accomplished writer, editor, and nonprofit leader with a diverse background in literature and education.

With a BA from Harvard in Russian History & Literature, an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and a PhD in literature from UC-Santa Cruz, Emma brings a strong academic foundation to her literary pursuits.

She has served as the Editor and interim Executive Director at Stone Soup, a nonprofit literary magazine entirely created by children, where she aims to inspire and validate young writers and artists.

Apart from her work at Stone Soup, Emma is a prolific poet, essayist, teacher, translator, and scholar with published works like 'The Real World' and 'A Failed Performance' in prestigious journals such as The American Poetry Review and ZYZZYVA.

Her varied experience includes roles as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Xavier University, Writing Coach at C & E Writing, College Essay Consultant at Brittany Maschal Consulting, and Lecturer at San Jose State University, among others.

Emma has also contributed her talents to publications like The Rumpus, SparkNotes, and The Morning News, showcasing her versatility as an editor and writer.
