Dr. Johanna Wadsley is a social researcher with a wealth of experience in primary research, impact evaluations, and evidence reviews in various fields like education, corporate-community engagement, rural coastal lives, and livelihoods.

She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Geography from the UK and has worked extensively with children, young people facing social and financial challenges, and those with special educational needs. Additionally, she is well-versed in delivering online and distance tertiary education as well as e-learning.

With a strong background in project management, Dr. Wadsley has successfully led both internally and publicly funded projects that require substantial stakeholder engagement and involve diverse, geographically distributed teams. Her expertise extends to academic grant development and human research ethics processes.

Her educational journey includes studies in Wilderness Education and Leadership, Geography, Science, Culture, Environment, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geography from prestigious institutions like NOLS, The Open University, Birkbeck College, University of London, and more.

Having worked at various reputable organizations such as the Department for State Growth and UCL in roles like Grants Consultant and Research Consultant, Dr. Wadsley has also held positions of Research Fellow, Project Manager, and Research Associate at The Open University and Queen Mary, University of London.

Beyond her professional commitments, she has served as a Trustee and Chair at The Orchestra of the City and held the position of Staff Development Manager at The Castle Climbing Centre.
