George Siasoco is a professional with over 23 years of experience in international relief and development programs and more than 19 years in direct service to the U.S. government, particularly with the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID)'s Office for Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA).

With a background managing portfolios ranging from $35 million to $800 million, George has specialized skills as a Senior Program Officer/Program Manager in project design, project management, and strategy development, particularly in demanding and time-sensitive environments.

He has led emergency response activities, assessed relief needs, and coordinated with a variety of stakeholders like NGOs, UN agencies, and host governments to facilitate effective disaster responses.

George has a strong track record in training and mentoring new staff on portfolio development and award management within the USAID/OFDA system, as well as in establishing relationships with various donors and organizations in the humanitarian aid sector.

His expertise includes a deep understanding of U.S. government Acquisitions and Assistance regulations, allowing him to oversee all aspects of disaster response and risk management projects, including grant proposal reviews, project approvals, and monitoring activities.

George Siasoco holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in History, a Master of Public Policy with a focus on International Development and Politics, and a Master of Arts in Southeast Asian Studies, all from the University of Michigan.
