Heidi Kim

Heidi Kim is an innovative and collaboration-minded campus leader with a strong track record in DEI initiatives, faculty, and student support. She is oriented towards interdisciplinary growth and public education through partnerships within and outside the campus in arts and humanities. With extensive experience in curricular, budget, and hiring management, Heidi possesses excellent supervisory, infrastructural, communication, and fundraising skills from her academic administrative roles in department, college, and new Center establishments. She is also recognized as an award-winning researcher, mentor, and teacher.

Heidi Kim pursued her education, studying Biochemical Sciences for her A.B. at Harvard University and obtaining Ph.D. in English at Northwestern University.

Heidi Kim has held various key roles in renowned organizations, including being a Professor of English, Director of the Asian American Center, Associate Professor of English, and Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has also served as an Instructor at Northwestern University and held positions at Harvard University and Braun Consulting. Furthermore, she has a background as a laboratory researcher at Harvard Medical School.
