Highlights
It’s wild to me that marketers never talk about customer equity 🫣
Everyone rants and raves about building a media company, or dark social, or whatever other trend people are peddling on LI.
But no one is talking about the complete lack of focus on the one thing that keeps your company afloat…
Customer equity 👀
It’s usually the sum of your brand, value, and relationships—but it’s really just about breeding loyalty among your buyers.
When marketers look at customer equity as $$ signs, they forget that there are actual people handing over that money 😅
People who are investing in a product as much as the company invests in building it.
Customer equity should really be:
⚡️A sense of innate trust that, as a brand, you’re doing what’s best for the customer ⚡️A relationship based on mutual achievements vs sterile, transactional interactions ⚡️A two-way street in helping the humans on both sides of the table win
The first step to making sure marketers can nurture customer equity is understanding how those humans become chstomers 💡
A customer journey map helps 😌
I put together our company’s first customer journey map at Copy.ai and you can steal my framework to do the same for yours 💅
Steal it—and save yourself HOURS (seriously, this took so long and it paid off but you can benefit from my blood, sweat, and tears 😂)

Pillar content and email can be 2 revenue driving channels you probably haven't tapped into 💰 So here's a framework that shows you how you can 👀
Now, I may have transitioned away from content marketing, but let me tell ya—once a content marketer, always a content marketer 😜
And at Lever, we built a really neat, yet practical and replicable framework for turning content (like pillar or cluster content) into an email engine that actually made the company money.
Like, real money 😂
Not just MQLs that Sales never touched, or pipeline fluff.
At one point, we had pillar pages that were a direct influence on over $150k of revenue in the first quarter they were published...
Which basically paid for my salary (and then some) at Lever 😮
Want that framework?
