Today a BDR from a target account tried to sell me a saas tool, so I did an Uno reverse 🔄 on him. 😝

I listened to him explain their new product offering and told him why its not a fit for our business.

I then asked him “out of curious where are you leaving this note on our account? Salesforce?”

“I use Apple notes, haha 😅” he said.

So I asked him, “so what information do you get when accounts are handed off to you?”. I had a clue about what the answer might be.

“Not much” he said, “I have to call the old rep to ask them about the account if I think he might remember the details on the account.”

“Got it. So given that you’re probably spending more than half your time calling on dead accounts, what’s your strategy for winning new business?”.

“Keep trying over and over again! 😅”.

I LOVE the hussle but he needs better technology.

As a public company that’s the incumbent in the space, they have a great product that solves a painful problem for customers with a specific type of pricing structure but he’s wasting an incredible amount of time (with me and my eng team 🤣) trying to connect to low fit accounts for this product vs building deeper relationships with high fit prospects.

It’s easy to customize automated account research workflows with our platform that would save him a huge amount of time by being extremely specific to the product they’re launching.

We will win the account.

And he will crush quota (just not with us 🤣).

Stay tuned 😉
