John Parsons

John Parsons is a distinguished expert in energy and environmental economics, with a strong background in carbon markets, decarbonization policy, and nuclear economics.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University and an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University.

John has held various key positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), including Associate Director at the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research, Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management, Co-Director of the MIT CANES Low Carbon Energy Center, and Research Affiliate at the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research.
