Dear Community of marketers and business folk that are about more than profit, I’m pleased to let you know that Rocket Companies was named #2 on #PeopleMagazines #CompaniesthatCare list for 2023, which was posted today.
We are often featured in the top ten, but #2 is the highest we’ve ever seen!
As we continue to build our brand archetype that around the “compassionate trailblazer,” (meeting our clients and communities where they are and offering innovative solutions to #helpeveryonehome) it’s fantastic to see our team members and community impact celebrated on national platforms like this.
Huge credit to all at Rocket but especially Laura Grannemann who leads all of this incredible #workthatmatters #formorethanprofit #community
Being born into poverty in the projects of North England, I shared a bedroom with two of my siblings until I went off to college. For me, home ownership was nothing more than a pipe dream. Then, by the age of 24, I bought my first home. I had no idea of the impact becoming a homeowner would have on me. For the first time in my life, I experienced a sense of dignity, pride, security, and identity that I didn't know even existed. Up until I arrived in the U.S. at 38, I generated more personal wealth through homeownership than I did through my career. The security of homeownership is what enabled me to focus on my career, and later, create my family with my husband. So, when Varun Krishna – CEO of Rocket Companies – called me with 'an audacious idea', I just had to find out more. The more I learned, the more I wanted in. @RocketCompanies, founded by #DanGilbert, is one of the most compelling ecosystems of companies I have studied. To become the first group CMO is an honor I don't take lightly. Varun describes the company as a sleeping giant, one that he has already stirred awake with a compelling vision and strategy. I now get to stand on the shoulders of all the great women and men who have built the brand into what it is today and help take its trajectory to an entirely new level. I won't rest until Rocket is, hands down, one of the most culturally significant brands in North America. As ever, I like to open source, so if you have any ideas on how I should go about realizing this, please don't be shy in coming forth! To everyone at Rocket Companies, thank you for your vote of confidence and extraordinarily warm welcome. As for my role at TwentyFirstCenturyBrand, nothing has changed. The company I co-founded with Neil Barrie is still led by him, as the global CEO, and Colin Chow, as the Managing Partner for North America. My role for the last two years has been that of Chairman of the Board. This is a role I love and will continue going forward. #marketing #Finance #business #cmo #WSJ
