Highlights
A bit more than a week ago, I was in Amsterdam for the https://euroia.eu/ conference. I gave a workshop on systemic design, together with Sylvie Daumal. It was a revisit of the workshop we gave last year at EuroIA in Marseille. This time we prepared a different case, the macro-topic of water in France and the Netherlands and all problems related to it, like water-shortage, water pollution and rising sea levels. I especially liked the causal loop diagrams that the participants were able to create based on the stories we had prepared. I'm already looking forward to a next iteration of this workshop.
Maybe some of you know already, but euroia.eu takes a special place in my professional and personal life. It's where I have learned to speak in front of a larger conference audience (my talk on how to become a UCD coach, at #euroia2012 in Rome, was my first ever) and to give compelling workshops. It has allowed me to meet some life-long friends and to discover a few European cities for the first time (Edinburgh, Madrid, Riga...). I made it my own tradition to make a long city walk or bicycle ride the day after the conference. Amsterdam this year was no different, with a nice ride to Amsterdam Noord, riding along the Amstel river, and pass by Amstelveen, Amsterdamse bos and Vondel parc.
