Lindsay Burstedt

Lindsay Burstedt is a music education evangelist with a passion for bringing communities together through music. With a background in singing, choir participation, and music composition spanning decades, Lindsay pursued a BA in Music at the University of California, Santa Cruz, followed by a Master’s Degree in Music and Music Education at Columbia University.

Throughout Lindsay's career, they have held various roles in music-related organizations, including Music Director at AfterWork Theater, Music Teacher providing private voice, piano, and guitar lessons, Expansion Manager at Peerspace, and Assistant to the Director at Teachers College, Columbia University. Lindsay has also co-founded and directed Scales of the City, curated communities as the Founder of NextSpace Union Square at NextSpace Coworking + Innovation, and worked in promotions at Alice Radio 97.3.

Lindsay's diverse professional experience extends beyond music, having managerial roles at establishments like Bakers of Paris and Kelly's French Bakery, as well as serving as a Director/Conductor at Fiat Musica and a Choir Scholar at Calvary Episcopal Church. They have a strong background in music instruction, community building, and business management within the music industry.

Passionate about connecting with people, Lindsay is enthusiastic about directing, conducting, singing, teaching, and supporting music-centric businesses. With a love for fostering relationships and community through music, Lindsay is open to new opportunities in the music education and business sectors.
